Gait Tune-Up : Rediscover Your Body's Movement

What is Gait? It’s how you walk, how you flow through taking a stride. Did you know every muscle in your body has a function or part to play in walking and any injury or strain you have can impact your walk, your physical alignment, the mechanics of your body, how you co-ordinate your movement. It can impact your posture, balance, flexibility and overall physical functionality. And you probably didn’t see it coming.

Investment: £15 (members £12)*

Have you considered that your body may lose movement after an injury or incident? It could be as simple as slipping on ice or tripping over a curb. While these are just examples, surgeries, broken bones, and falls can all introduce compensations in your body, causing it to forget what it's like to feel good. We need to focus on restoring lost movement.

Does this situation sound familiar? You might be experiencing general aches and pains— not severe enough to warrant a visit to a physiotherapist, but sufficient to hinder your favourite exercises. You want to get back to your routine, but the discomfort is growing. It's making work and driving uncomfortable. You're feeling frustrated, more emotional than usual, and can't seem to find a solution.

This is where I come in, I have trained in Gait Analysis and can review how your body currently moves and provide you with exercises to do to improve. I also do this in a 1-2-1 setting but am bringing this to a wider audience.

During this small group session, I will work through a set of exercises, explaining where they target, how to make the exercises more accurate, the body's movement and help enhance overall physical performance and well-being.
