About the event

It’s a full moon on Friday 5th May. And May’s moon is called the flower moon. I have found a great website that tells the time of the moon rise and set. This full moon it is due to start rising at 8:34pm. So. It’s inspired me to organise an evening walk.

It needs to be a walk where we can see the sky, so I thought it would be nice to show you the warren of roads around near my house.

I would recommend (if you are driving) that you park over at Asda’s (5 minute walk) and then walk over to mine. If you don’t have my address, I will let you have it once you book on. We will be walking for about an hour. Sunset is at 8:27pm, so everything seems to be aligning. It goes dark about 40 minutes after sunset, so it will be getting dark towards the end of our walk. I expect this walk to be about an hour, so we will finish about 9:15/9:30pm.

The walk will be on muddy paths and tarmacked roads, so I recommend walking boots, and you might need a torch (phone torches are quite good these days.)

Dogs are welcome, as are your partners and friends. But it’s equally nice to come on your own as you will get to talk to someone new. Everyone is very welcoming.

Did I say it's FREE!
