Yule Sister Circle

Yule starts on Wednesday 21st December and ends on Sunday 1st January 2023. It simultaneously celebrates the shortest day and longest night of the year, midwinter, the start of the return of the Sun, and a festival of rebirth.

Physically and traditionally, Yule marks the point at which the Sun begins to return to us—aka when the days begin to lengthen again. But the winter solstice is the darkest day of the year, so Yule is both a time of reflection and celebration of the return to light.

As the outside world is at its darkest and the nights are at their longest, Yule gives space for our inner realms to expand and come forth. It is a time to bring in new visions and ideas, set intentions or resolutions for the year ahead, and dream bold dreams.

And I have decided this would be a great time to start a sister circle. At this YULE sister circle, we will think about our resolutions and intentions for the coming year. This isn’t just about setting the usual resolutions “I want to lose weight” or “get fitter” this is maybe about utilising us as a collective, as a group, helping each other to do something new, get out of our comfort zone and lift you from your routine. It could be to help others, improve your wellbeing or even to learn from you, you could be our guest speaker at a future event. We are all amazingly talented and skilled women.

We will Imagine the positive rewards, daydream about living this new lifestyle, and then write down your next steps for making this a reality.

The History of Women’s Circles

Women’s circles are as ancient as time. Throughout history, women have gathered and come together to hold space and nurture one another.

The circle holds a gentle, but powerful and safe space for us to meet, share and learn from one another. We all hold sacred feminine energy within us; a divine feminity. When this energy is tapped into it can create endless opportunities for your full feminine potential.

If you feel like you are lacking sisterhood in your life, the power of women coming together to laugh, cry, heal, sing, chant, move, grow, and explore? This circle is a space for women to gather, share, feel heard and held. It’s a time for you to be your true self without any judgement in a safe space. Meet like-minded souls and perhaps make some new friends along the way.

What’s involved

There is no yoga! (Insert laughter here!) There will be gentle music, maybe a meditation or relaxed breathing, conversation, empowerment, games to play, laughter and friendship forming. Hot drinks will be served (Tea, Coffee, Hot chocolate etc) This is an event to get you away from the excesses of Christmas, it will be a low key, but fun filled event. Bring your camping chairs and we will learn to improve our corner of the world. There will be an intention setting discussion too, giving you ideas on new intentions rather than the old, repeated resolutions.
