Spicy Seafood Stirfry

Updated: Apr 6, 2022

We love a stir fry, 5 minutes prep and 10 minutes cooking. So dinner is quick and you’ll be pleased with the flavours

Serves 2

Ingredients:

3 garlic cloves, crushed

3cm fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped

3 tsp Sambal Oelek (chilli sauce)

2 tsp tamari or soy sauce

2 tsp maple syrup

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp mirin

300g seafood selection (we used prawns, squid and scallops)

1 red onion, sliced

1 carrot, julienned

1 broccoli stalk, split into small florets

150g mushrooms, sliced

3 spring onions, sliced length ways

1 small red chilli

How to:

Mix the garlic, ginger, sambal oelek, tamari, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and mirin then add the seafood and mix well.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan, add the onions for 2 minutes, then add broccoli and carrots for another 2 minutes, then and the seafood and sauce for another 2 minutes. Add the mushrooms and chilli for another 2 minutes. Lastly add the spring onions, stir in and after the spring onions have softened it’s time to plate up.

Top with black sesame seeds, or any seeds you have in the cupboard and one last thing: ENJOY!
