"The future isn't somewhere you're going. It's something you're creating with every thought, every choice and every action you take today."
Have you ever imagined what your life could look like if everything began to fall into place?
Not in a fantasy kind of way, but in a way that makes your heart feel lighter, your shoulders soften and a huge smile spread across your face.
This is exactly what we explored during our Future Self Workshop.
The aim wasn't simply to think positively. It was to create a version of ourselves that feels real enough for our minds and bodies to begin moving towards naturally.
Our brains are fascinating. They don't respond particularly well to vague wishes like "I want to be happier" or "I hope life gets better."
They respond far more powerfully to clear emotions, vivid pictures and experiences that feel as though they are already happening.
That's why this exercise can be so powerful.

Why Imagine Your Future Self?
Every decision you make today creates your tomorrow.
When you become clear about who you want to become, your brain begins looking for opportunities that match that identity.
Instead of constantly asking:
"What do I want?"
Try asking:
"Who am I becoming?"
Your future self isn't a different person.
They're simply you—living with more confidence, better habits, healthier choices and greater self-belief.
Before You Begin
Find somewhere quiet where you won't be disturbed.
Take a few slow breaths.
Have a notebook and pen ready.
There are no right or wrong answers.
This isn't about creating the "perfect" life.
It's about creating a life that genuinely feels like yours.
Step One: Imagine Your Future
Close your eyes for a moment and picture yourself one to three years from now.
Ask yourself:
Where am I waking up?
How do I feel when I open my eyes?
What gives me energy?
How does my body feel?
What relationships surround me?
What work am I doing?
How do I spend my free time?
What have I let go of?
What am I most proud of?
What makes me smile?
Don't worry if every detail isn't clear.
Notice what feelings come first.
Step Two: Write As Though It Has Already Happened
This is where the magic begins.
Instead of writing:
"I want..."
or
"I hope..."
Write as though you're already living that life.
For example:
"I wake up every morning feeling calm, energised and excited for the day ahead."
"My body feels strong, flexible and healthy."
"I attract kind, supportive people into my life."
"I make time for rest without feeling guilty."
Notice how differently those statements feel.
Your subconscious responds to certainty far more than possibility.
Step Three: Make It Feel Real
As you read each sentence, pause.
Ask yourself:
Can I feel this?
If the answer is no, change the wording until something shifts.
The goal isn't simply to read the words.
The goal is to smile.
Not a polite smile.
A big, warm, gooey smile that makes your heart feel full.
When you reach that feeling, you've probably found words that truly resonate with you.
Your emotions are what give your intentions energy.
Step Four: Read It Out Loud
Read your Future Self story slowly.
Notice how your body responds.
Do certain sentences give you goosebumps?
Do others need adjusting?
Keep refining until it feels authentic.
This isn't about convincing anyone else.
It's about convincing yourself.
Step Five: Repeat Often
Your Future Self isn't something to visit once.
Read your vision every morning.
Or every evening before sleep.
The more often your mind experiences that future, the more familiar it becomes.
And familiar things feel possible.
Your Next Step
Now that you've created your Future Self vision, it's time to deepen the experience.
A guided meditation allows your conscious mind to relax while your imagination creates stronger emotional connections with the life you're building.
Find somewhere comfortable.
Allow yourself to be fully present.
Then simply listen.
Final Thoughts
Remember, this isn't about pretending your current life doesn't exist.
It's about giving your mind a direction.
Every small action you take today is a vote for the person you're becoming.
Be kind to yourself.
Celebrate small wins.
Trust the process.
Your future self is being created one thought, one choice and one smile at a time.
I'd love to hear how this exercise felt for you.
What did your Future Self look like?
What made you smile the most?
