I decided to go for a smoothie for the final breakfast to show that I am not biased towards either juices or smoothies. A smoothie is full of fibre, so you digest the sugar's slower and don't get the sugar rush you might get from a juice. Fibre is good for cleansing your gut and depending on the type of fibre, it can also be a prebiotic. Prebiotic's feed your gut bacteria. That's a blog all on it's own!
Ingredients:
a banana
1/2 an avocado
250ml of milk (I used Almond milk)
1 tsp ground sesame seed
1 tsp ground sunflower seed
1 tsp honey (optional)
Method:
Blitz and drink.
Full of potassium and magnesium, both are needed for your cells to function normally. This smoothie is only limited by your imagination. I didn't have time to prepare this morning, so I just went for simple ingredients. The smoothie definitely filled my up for longer than yesterday's juice did. But I would just adjust what I eat for lunch or dinner to compensate.
I used Almond milk because I am #dairyfree but you can use what works for you or what you have in the fridge.
